🐈⬛ Bring Your Own Cat Policy
At WICCON, we believe every witch deserves her familiar.
For WICCON2026, we are proud to introduce our BYOC (Bring Your Own Cat) policy.
To ensure a safe, comfortable, and chaos-controlled environment for both humans and cats, please review the following requirements carefully before bringing your companion.
🧾 Eligibility & Registration
All cats must be registered in advance via the BYOC form (linked in your ticket confirmation).
Walk-in cats will not be admitted.
Each attendee may bring one (1) cat only. Multi-cat summoning is not supported at this time.
💉 Health & Vaccination Requirements
For the safety of all attendees and their familiars, cats must:
Be fully vaccinated (including feline herpesvirus, calicivirus, and panleukopenia)
Have a valid rabies vaccination
Be free of fleas, ticks, and other external parasites
Show no signs of infectious disease or respiratory illness
Be fit for transport and social environments
We reserve the right to deny entry to any cat that appears unwell.
🧬 Identification & Documentation
All cats must:
Be microchipped and hold a European pet passport
Have their passport available upon request
Summoned void entities without proper identification will not be admitted.
🐾 Behavior & Temperament
Your cat must be:
Comfortable around humans and other cats
Not prone to aggression, excessive stress, or chaos beyond acceptable thresholds
Able to remain in a shared environment without summoning demons (minor apparitions accepted)
If your cat becomes distressed or disruptive, you may be asked to remove them from the venue.
🧺 Cat Lounge
We provide a dedicated Cat Lounge, including:
Soft resting areas
Cat trees
Litter boxes
Water stations
Supervision by trained volunteers and veterinary students
Cats are not allowed in the main hall, the workshop space, or on the trade floor.
🍗 Food & Care
Basic cat food will be provided by our partner AprilFloof’s.
However, you are allowed to bring:
Your cat’s preferred food
A familiar blanket or object
⚖️ Owner Responsibility
By bringing your cat, you agree that:
You remain fully responsible for your animal at all times
WICCON is not liable for injury, escape, or spontaneous dimension shifts
You will respect staff guidance and community boundaries
🚫 What We Do Not Allow
Unregistered cats
Sick or unvaccinated cats
Exotic felines (no tigers, no matter how chill they are)
Remote-controlled or AI-generated cats (yet)
We’re incredibly excited to make WICCON a space where both witches and their familiars can gather. Let’s keep it safe, respectful, and just the right amount of chaotic.
By participating in the BYOC program, attendees will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging and agreeing to all of the above conditions, and releasing WICCON from any liability arising from the presence, behavior, or care of their cat during the event.
